Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask is an American single malt from Virginia Distillery Company in Lovingston, Virginia. It is made from 100% malted barley and aged for a minimum of four years.
The whisky matured entirely in former sherry casks from Jerez: Pedro Ximénez, Fino and Oloroso. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour.
Honeycomb, ripe apricot, plum and lemon zest lead the nose. The palate brings hazelnut, toffee, raspberry and fig, and the finish is soft caramel and baking spice, fading to toasted nuts.
