Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask is an American single malt from Virginia Distillery in Lovingston, made from 100% malted barley. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and no chill-filtration.
It matured for at least four years in former Pedro Ximenez, Fino and Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez.
The nose offers honeycomb, apricot, light lemon and sugared almonds, with cherry and fig. The palate is silky, with hazelnut, soft leather and toffee alongside golden raisins and caramelised plums. The finish fades slowly with soft caramel and warm baking spices, staying creamy and smooth.
