Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask is an American single malt from the Virginia Distillery Company, made from 100% North American malted barley and aged for a minimum of four years in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
It matured only in former Spanish sherry casks from Jerez, including Pedro Ximénez, Fino and Oloroso. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The nose offers dark cherry, dried fig, honeycomb, sugared almonds and lemon zest. The palate is creamy, with caramelised plum, golden raisin, hazelnut, soft leather and toffee. The finish is long, fading slowly through soft caramel, dark fruit and gentle baking spice.
