W.L. Weller C.Y.P.B. is a wheated bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery. The letters stand for Craft Your Perfect Bourbon, and the release was shaped by consumer preferences for proof, warehouse location and ageing style.
Wheat replaces rye in the mash bill, and the bourbon is bottled at 47.5% ABV (95 proof). It is a limited release within the W.L. Weller range.
The nose is soft, with vanilla, honey, light oak and caramel. The palate is smooth and rounded, with butterscotch, toasted oak, baking spices and gentle wheat sweetness. The finish is balanced and lingering, with light spice, creamy vanilla and soft oak.
