Waterford Ballykilcavan 1.2 is the second bottling made with barley grown on the Ballykilcavan Farm. It was distilled in week 8 of 2016 and bottled in July 2020 at 50%, in a 70cl bottle, with an outturn of 9,000 bottles. More than half of the whisky matured in first-fill American oak, with the remainder in French wine casks and ex-vin doux casks. The nose offers red grapes, hay, pineapple and herbs. The palate is oily, with white pepper, marzipan, apricot and wood. The finish brings liquorice and malt.
