Waterford – Ballymorgan 1.2 Single Farm Irish Whiskey (70cl)

Waterford Ballymorgan 1.2 is a single farm Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle. It is made from barley grown by Robert Milne in County Wexford, in the rain shadow of the Wicklow Mountains, on loamy clay soils derived from slate and granite. Five generations of his family have farmed the land, and he now works it with his son and nephew. The spirit comes from his 2015 barley and has a golden colour. The nose offers dried herbs, malt, red apple, plums, milk chocolate, vanilla, fennel seed and custard. The palate brings apple crumble with toffee, fudge, cloves, pepper heat and aniseed, and the finish is lingering and spicy.
