This is an Irish single malt from Waterford Distillery, part of its Single Farm Origin series. The barley comes from Ballymorgan Farm.
It was distilled in May 2016 and bottled in July 2020 at 50% ABV, without chill filtration, giving a four year old whisky. Maturation took place in first-fill bourbon, new American oak, French oak and Vin Doux Naturel wine barrels. Around 9,000 bottles were produced.
The nose is fresh and malty, with green apple, citrus, floral notes and a hint of vanilla. The palate has a grainy core, pear, citrus peel, soft wine influences and spicy wood, with a slightly drying structure. The finish is medium to long, dry and mineral.
