Ballymorgan Edition 1.2 is a Waterford release made from Overture barley grown on Robert Milne's farm in Wexford. It was matured in first-fill American oak, new European oak, French oak and Vin Doux Naturel barrels, and bottled in 2020 at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 9000 bottles were filled.
It belongs to the Single Farm Origin series, which uses 100% Irish barley from individual farms.
The nose is fine chocolate, with fruit slowly coming through. The palate has firm vanilla and apple with chocolate, lime and a touch of clove. The finish brings cedar, barley and the sweetness of green apples.
