Waterford Bannow Island - Edition 1.2 (70cl, 50%)

Waterford Bannow Island Edition 1.2 is an Irish single malt made from barley grown on Bannow Island Farm and harvested on 7 September 2015. The spirit was distilled in 2016, matured for 3 years, 10 months and 22 days in a combination of American and European oak casks, and bottled in July 2020. It is one of 9,000 bottles at 50%, with no additions and non-chill-filtered, in a 70cl bottle. The nose is malty, with ripe pears, raisins, lemons, warm vanilla custard and marzipan. The palate brings honey, caramel, malted biscuits and toffee popcorn. The finish is long and oily, with a spicy heat that turns dry.
