Cuvée Koffi is an Irish single malt from Waterford, created by Head Distiller Ned Gahan. It brings together 24 individual Single Farm Origin whiskies, each matured for at least six years, and is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle.
The casks are 36% first fill bourbon barrels, 26% vin doux naturel casks (Oloroso, Moscatel and Amarone), 21% premium French oak casks from Bordeaux châteaux and 17% virgin American oak. It is non-chill-filtered and uncoloured.
The nose offers red apple on homemade black bread, citrus marmalade, white pepper, cola and fizzy sweets, and lavender. The finish is long and dry, with gentle spice and dried fruit.
