Waterford – Hook Head 1.1 (50%)

Hook Head 1.1 is an Irish whiskey from Waterford, bottled at 50% and matured in American and French oak. The distillery works with local farms to make Single Farm Origin single malts, and this release draws on barley grown in the shadow of the Hook Head lighthouse on Ireland's south coast, ten miles from the distillery. Martin Foley grows it on clay-loam soils over limestone, of the Elton series, in ground open to salt-laden storms, sea mist and sea breezes.
