Waterford Peated Ballybannon 1.1 is an Irish single malt, among the first peated releases from Waterford Distillery. It was distilled on 17 September 2018 and bottled in August 2022 at 50%, with an outturn of 11,088 bottles.
Maturation took place in first fill American oak, virgin oak, premium French wine casks and Sauternes casks.
The nose is soft and smoky, with earth, pear, malt, herbal tea, flowers and a salty edge. On the palate, pepper, peat and earthy notes meet salt and spice, with berries, lemon and honey. The finish is medium in length, with phenols and wood.
