Waterford Single Farm Origin Ballymorgan Edition 1.1 is an Irish single malt made with Overture barley grown on Ballymorgan Farm in County Wexford, which is farmed by Robert Milne and family. It was distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2020 at 50%, without colouring or chill-filtration, in a run of around 9,000 bottles.
It matured in first-fill American oak, French oak and Vin Doux Naturel casks.
The nose is described as green apple, pear, rhubarb, vanilla and sweet malt. The palate is fruity and malty, with citrus, caramel, herbs and spicy oak. The finish is dry, spicy and clearly structured.
