Waterford Single Farm Origin 2021 Lakefield Edition 1.1 (70cl, 50%)

Waterford Single Farm Origin Lakefield Edition 1.1 is an Irish single malt from Waterford Distillery, bottled in 2021 at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The barley was grown at Lakefield Farm near Durrow in County Laois, farmed by Seamus Duggan, on deep, well-drained loam soils of the Elton series. The whisky matured in four cask types: 46% first-fill American oak, 23% virgin American oak, 15% French oak and 16% vin doux naturel casks. The nose is fresh fruit, malt and light spice. The palate brings rhubarb, baked apple, malt sweetness and spicy oak, followed by a lasting, malty and fruity finish.
