Waterford Single Farm Origin 2021 Tinnashrule Edition 1.1 (70cl, 50%)

Waterford Single Farm Origin Tinnashrule Edition 1.1 is an Irish single malt made from barley grown on one farm, Tinnashrule, farmed by John Crowley north of Enniscorthy in the rain shadow of the Blackstairs Mountains. It was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2021 at 50%, without colouring or chill-filtration. The whisky matured in a combination of first fill bourbon casks, American and French virgin oak, and sweet wine casks. The nose shows malt, apple, citrus, herbs, honey and fine dark fruit. The palate is robust and spicy, with citrus, dark chocolate, pepper, clove and fresh barley. The finish is dry and spicy, with fruit, oak and lingering malt.
