Waterford Single Farm Origin Ballymorgan Edition 1.1 is an Irish single malt from the distillery founded by Mark Reynier, formerly a director at Bruichladdich. It belongs to the Single Farm Origin series, which uses barley from a single farm in the local area. The spirit spent four years in a combination of American and French oak, and 9,000 bottles were filled at 50%. The nose offers milk chocolate, rhubarb and cream. On the palate come caramel-soaked apple, clove, liquorice and mint chocolate, leading to a soft, warming finish with a touch of spicy chocolate.
