This is an Irish single malt from Waterford Distillery, part of its Single Farm Origin series, in which each bottling explores a different place in the barley-growing region. Edition 1.2 comes from Bannow Island. It was bottled in July 2020 at 50% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, and is 3 years old.
The whisky matured in American first fill oak, French premium oak, virgin oak and Vin Doux Naturel casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is malty, with ripe pear, raisin, lemon and warm vanilla cream. The palate is fruity, with honey, caramel and lemon cake, and the finish is long and oily, ending dry and spicy.
