Waterford – Single Farm Origin Lakefield Edition 1.1 (70cl, 50%)

This is an Irish single malt from Waterford Distillery, the first Waterford bottling made with barley from Lakefield Farm. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The spirit was distilled in the ninth week of 2017 and bottled in February 2021. It matured in first fill and virgin American oak, together with ex-Margaux, port and marsala casks. The nose brings fresh bread, apple, milk chocolate, dried flowers and pine needles. Clove comes first on the palate, then bread and biscuits, a touch of pepper, and finally sweet melon and pear. The finish is soft.
