Weller 12 Year Old is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, part of the W.L. Weller range. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The mash bill uses wheat rather than rye as the secondary grain, and the bourbon is aged for 12 years.
The nose is vanilla, almond, cherry and rich oak. On the palate come caramel, baked apples, honeyed wheat and dark fruit. The finish is long and warming, with toasted oak and soft spice.
