West Cork 5 Year Old Maritime Port Cask (43%)

West Cork 5 Year Old is a single malt Irish whiskey from West Cork Distillers in Skibbereen, County Cork. It is finished in port casks and bottled at 43%, without chill-filtration or added colour. West Cork Distillers was started in 2003 by three friends, John O Connell, Ger McCarthy and Denis McCarthy. They began with two small stills bought from a schnapps producer in Switzerland, and moved to their own distillery in Skibbereen in 2014. The port cask finish brings dark berries, dried fruit, vanilla and a touch of spice.
