West Cork 7 Year Old Sherry Casks Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

This is a seven year old Irish single malt from West Cork Distillers in Skibbereen, County Cork. It is triple distilled from Irish malted barley and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colouring. The whisky spent its first four years in oloroso sherry casks from a bodega in Cádiz, Spain. It then matured for three more years in first-fill bourbon barrels. The profile is fruity and malty, with light spice and tannins. The nose brings green fruit and red berries with marzipan. On the palate malt and green fruit meet tannins, with light spice and citrus. The finish is long, with malt and red berries.
