This is an Irish whiskey from West Cork Distillers in Skibbereen, County Cork, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
It matured first in sherry casks, then spent a further four to six months in casks charred with bog oak.
The nose brings spice, dried leather and a sweet dried-fruit background, with light spiced notes of apple, liquorice and a hint of peach. The palate is intensely spicy, with malt and ground pepper, then fruit, smoke and oak.
