West Cork Bourbon Cask 5 Year Old Blended Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

This is a five-year-old blended Irish whiskey from West Cork, matured in first-fill bourbon casks. The blend is 75% grain whiskey and 25% malt whiskey, triple distilled and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtration. Distilling, cask maturation and bottling all take place at the West Cork Distillers site in Ireland. The nose is malty and sweet, with citrus, apple and nutmeg. On the palate it is soft and balanced, with malt, a lingering sweetness, a light citrus note, apple, nutmeg and crushed pepper. The finish leaves a gentle vanilla note.
