West Cork Bourbon Cask is a 5 year old blended Irish whiskey, made from 75% grain and 25% malt whiskey and triple distilled. It matured in first-fill bourbon casks and is bottled by West Cork Distillers at 40% in a 20cl bottle.
The style is malty and not smoky, with light fruit, lasting sweetness and gentle spice. It is non-chill-filtered.
Malt and citrus come with green apple, a little nutmeg and cracked pepper on the nose. The palate is soft and malty, with vanilla, caramel, light citrus, apple and nutmeg. The finish keeps ripe apple to the fore before fine nutmeg spice fades.
