This is a small batch Irish single malt from West Cork Distillers, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The whiskey was matured in first-fill bourbon casks and then finished in casks that previously held Normandy Calvados.
The nose brings fresh apple and pear with light citrus, soft vanilla and a hint of pastry. On the palate it is creamy, with stewed apple, honey, biscuit, light spice and soft oak. The finish is medium to long and slightly spicy, with a recurring note of apple peel.
