West Cork – Cask Strength Blended Irish Whiskey (70cl, 62%)

West Cork Cask Strength is a triple-distilled blended Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at a cask strength of 62% ABV. After the grain and malt whiskeys are blended, they spend a further six months together in heavily used ex-bourbon casks, a rest meant to bring the components together rather than add wine cask influence. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose offers malt and dried fruit with balanced sweetness, pepper, pronounced vanilla, some toffee and a light floral note. The palate is full-bodied and hot, with orange peel, grain sweetness and salted caramel. The finish is long, leaving grassy notes.
