West Cork – IPA Cask Finish (70cl, 40%)

West Cork IPA Cask Finish is an Irish blended whiskey from the distillery's Beer Series, which features finishes in different beer casks. This one links the whiskey with the brewing of Black's of Kinsale. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour. The blend is 75% grain whiskey and 25% malt whiskey. It is matured first in first-fill bourbon casks, then finished in casks that previously held the brewery's IPA. The nose has a subtle hop note with sweet hints. On the palate roasted nuts combine with malt and sweet spices, and the finish keeps those roasted nut, malt and sweet spice notes.
