West Cork Irish IPA Cask Finish (70cl, 40%)

This is a blended Irish whiskey from West Cork, made from 75% grain and 25% malt whiskey and triple distilled. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 40% and is not chill-filtered. The blend first matured in first-fill bourbon casks, then was finished in casks that had held India Pale Ale from the Blacks of Kinsale brewery. It belongs to West Cork's Beer Series. Alongside hops, nuts, malt and sweet spice, it shows pineapple, mango and sweet cereal, with bitter hop and herbal touches. The nose is a mild hop note with sweet undertones. The palate has roasted nuts and malt with sweet spice, and the finish carries the same nuts, malt and sweet spice.
