West Cork Irish Stout Cask Finish (70cl, 40%)

West Cork Irish Stout Cask Finish is a blended Irish whiskey from West Cork Distillers, part of the distillery's Beer Series. It combines 75% grain and 25% malt whiskey, is triple distilled, and is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtration or added colour. It matures first in first-fill bourbon casks, then moves into casks that previously held stout from the Irish brewery Black's of Kinsale. This second maturation gives a chocolatey character with notes of coffee and vanilla. The nose pairs chocolate with raisins and freshly cracked nuts. The palate brings dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla, and the finish carries a note of ginger.
