West Cork Maritime 5 Year Old Sherry Cask (70cl, 43%)

West Cork Maritime is a five year old Irish single malt influenced by sherry casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, with no added colour. The series has its own spherical bottle with an offset opening that makes pouring easier. Its design draws on two founders of West Cork Distillers, who were once deep-sea fishermen. The nose combines raisins, prunes and vanilla with mild spice, almonds and roasted nuts. On the palate there are ripe figs and creamy caramel with oak, sweet at first and soft and round. The lasting finish brings roasted hazelnuts, dry wood and spice.
