West Cork Maritime Sherry Cask Single Malt Irish Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

This is a triple distilled single malt Irish whiskey from West Cork, part of the Maritime series. It was matured first in first-fill bourbon casks, then finished in sherry casks from Bodegas Barón. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is not chill filtered and has no added colour. The bottle is mouth-blown and shaped after the floats used on historic fishing nets. The nose offers dried figs and ripe plums wrapped in sherry richness. On the palate come raisins and tart cranberries with nutmeg and green pepper. The long finish brings heather, cardamom and the light acidity of dried sour cherries.
