West Cork Port Cask Finish is a triple-distilled Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43%. It is made in small batches from malted Irish barley and water from Mullaghmesha Mountain.
The whiskey first matures in first-fill bourbon casks, then finishes in port casks from Quinta da Boeira. It is natural in colour and not chill-filtered.
On the nose, dried fruit mixes with vanilla and toffee, with nutmeg and black pepper adding spice. The palate is markedly sweet, with more dried fruit, and the short finish brings malt, berries, caramel, citrus and oak.
