West Cork Sherry Cask – Maritime Release (70cl, 46%)

This is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from West Cork Distillers, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is the Maritime Release, a distillery bottling in West Cork's domed bottle. The whiskey is finished in Bodegas Baron sherry casks, and that finish gives it a rounder, sweeter and fuller character. The nose is soft sherry, raisins, caramel and light spice. The palate is creamy and approachable, with dried fruit, honey and lightly toasted wood. The finish is smooth and slightly sweet.
