West Cork – Single Malt Irish Whiskey The Nectar Cask #160 (2019) (70cl, 50%)

This is a single cask Irish single malt from West Cork, selected and bottled for The Nectar of Belgium. Only approximately 240 bottles were filled, each in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey was first matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel, then finished in a toasted and lightly charred bourbon barrel. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose offers warm vanilla, toasted oak, honey, citrus oil, light coconut and subtle spices. On the palate it is full and creamy, with bourbon sweetness, buttercream, toffee, oak, cloves, almond and fresh pear. The finish is long and warm, led by wood, with soft spices, vanilla and a lingering sweet bourbon note.
