West Cork Single Malt Port Cask Finish is an Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% without chill-filtration or added colour.
It is made in small batches from Irish malted barley and water from the Mullaghmesha mountains, and is triple distilled. After maturing in first-fill bourbon casks, it finishes in port casks from Quinta da Boeira.
The nose offers dried fruit, vanilla and toffee, with nutmeg and a hint of black pepper. Sweetness leads on the palate, alongside dried fruit. The short finish shows malt, berries and caramel, with citrus and oak.
