West Cork – Single Malt Virgin Oak Cask Finished (70cl, 43%)

This is an Irish single malt from West Cork, made from 100% malted barley and distilled in small batches. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and with natural colour. The whiskey first matures in first-fill bourbon casks, which give a sweet, vanilla-tinged character. It is then finished in virgin oak casks from Kelvin Cooperage, which add depth. The result joins the gentle sweetness of bourbon cask maturation with the firmer notes of new oak.
