West Cork Virgin Oak Cask Finish (70cl, 43%)

West Cork Virgin Oak Cask Finish is an Irish single malt from West Cork Distillers in Skibbereen, County Cork. It is triple distilled in small batches from Irish malted barley, matured first in first-fill bourbon casks and then finished in new oak casks from Kelvin Cooperage. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour. The nose combines hay and vanilla with oak that recalls wood shavings and sawdust. The palate is very light, with subtle fruit and black pepper coming through at the end. The finish carries on with the same black pepper spice.
