Westie Sponge Edition No.2 is a 5 year old single malt from Raasay, distilled in 2018 and bottled in a small batch at 57.1%. It continues a series celebrating the single malts of the Western Highlands and Islands. The whisky is a marriage of a refill hogshead and a first-fill bourbon barrel, put together to balance richness and sweetness while keeping the distillate's character clear. It is waxy and coastal, with bright citrus fruits and a delicate thread of peat.
