Westland – American Oak (70cl, 46%)

Westland American Oak is the flagship release from the Westland distillery in Seattle, an American single malt made with Washington barley. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46%, aged at least four years in new charred oak casks. Westland uses locally sourced ingredients for its American malt whiskies, with a Pacific Northwest touch. The nose opens with lemon and orange custard and a fresh waffle cone, then turns creamy with creme brulee and chocolate custard, and a hint of jasmine. On the palate come fruity custard and cherries, then melted Swiss chocolate with almond, and bananas and cream with Turkish coffee.
