Westland Garryana VI is the sixth edition of a limited American single malt series from Westland, built around casks made from Quercus garryana, the Garry oak native to the Pacific Northwest. This edition combines Garry oak with ex-bourbon and sherry casks, and is bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has dark molasses, espresso, dried fig and a hint of sweet barbecue smoke. Dark chocolate, clove and black cherry fill the palate, alongside spicy Garry oak tannins. The finish is very long and dry, with earthy spice and dark cocoa.
