Westland – Peated Malt

Westland Peated Malt combines a portion of intensely peated whisky with unpeated spirit, all aged in American oak barrels. It balances smoke and fruit, with hints of earth, green herbs and roasted nuts. The nose opens with smouldering moss, flamed orange peel and a background of nuttiness. On the palate peat comes forward with roasted pistachios, iodine and campfire. The moss turns to burning embers and roasted plantain, then the palate moves towards earthier notes, green herbs and more iodine towards the finish.
