Wild Turkey Longbranch is an 8-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. The mashbill is 75% corn, 13% rye and 10% malted barley, and it is aged in new, charred American oak barrels.
Its distinguishing feature is a two-step charcoal filtration: first through American white oak charcoal, then through Texas mesquite charcoal.
The nose has caramel and vanilla syrup with toasted oak, dried fruit and a light mesquite smoke. The palate is honeyed, with caramel, ripe pear, citrus zest, baking spices and roasted nuts. The finish is medium, with toasted oak, buttery vanilla and a trace of mesquite smoke.
