Willett Family Estate 7 Year Old Small Batch Rare Release is a straight rye whiskey from Willett Distillery in Kentucky, in a 75cl bottle at 51.2% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at cask strength from barrel 9379. Two mash bills are combined in this rye, which matured for seven years in hand-selected white oak barrels. The mash bill is given as 74% rye, 11% corn and 15% malted barley. The nose is savoury tobacco with chocolate and clove, and the palate is lively and spicy with orange and fruit. The finish brings orange peel, dried fruit and pepper.
