William Larue Weller 2025 (75cl, 64.5%)

William Larue Weller is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace, here in its 2025 release for the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 64.5% ABV (129 proof), in a 750ml bottle. Wheat takes the place of rye as the secondary grain, which gives a softer profile of vanilla and caramel rather than rye spice. Tasting notes describe a nose of vanilla, butterscotch, soft wheat, honey and light florals, with caramel, brown sugar, baking spice, dried fruit and toasted oak on the palate. The finish is long, warm, sweet and spicy, with lingering vanilla.
