Windsor Canadian Rye is a blended Canadian whisky from Alberta Distillers Limited in Calgary, made with prairie-grown grains and glacial stream water. This one is a large 175cl bottle, aged for a minimum of three years.
A rye-led grain character is balanced by light caramel sweetness, fruity notes and peppery baking spices. The colour is bright gold, with light to medium viscosity.
The nose is fresh and grain-forward, with honeyed cereal, ripe peach, dusty straw and vanilla. The palate is light-bodied, with butterscotch, toasted grain, corn and peppery rye. The finish is medium and dry, with caramel, vanilla, black pepper and toasted wood spice.
