Woodford Reserve – Distiller's Select Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey (70cl, 45.2%)

This is a Kentucky straight wheat whiskey from the Woodford Reserve distillery, part of its Distiller's Select range. It is bottled at 45.2% in a 70cl bottle. The mash bill is 52% wheat, 20% malt, 20% corn and 8% rye, which makes wheat the main grain. The nose is soft, with vanilla, cinnamon, brown sugar and oak. Vanilla returns on the palate, joined by flowers, cocoa and green apple. The finish brings chocolate and dried apricot.
