Woodford Reserve – Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey Derby 149 (1L, 45.2%)

Woodford Reserve Derby 149 is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 100cl bottle at 45.2% ABV. It is the 149th Derby Edition, released in 2023 shortly before 1 May, as each edition in the series is. A hand-drawn illustration on the bottle captures a key moment of the Kentucky Derby. The nose is heavy with rich dried fruit, mint and orange, with a little cocoa and faint vanilla and tobacco spice. The palate is rich, viscous and smooth, with citrus, cinnamon, cocoa, toffee, caramel and chocolate. The finish is silky, almost creamy at first, long and warm.
