A straight bourbon from Woodinville Whiskey Company in Washington State, bottled at 45% in a 750ml bottle. Mashing, distilling and barrelling all take place on site, using 72% corn, 22% rye and 6% malted barley.
Barrel staves are seasoned outdoors for eighteen months before the barrels are toasted and heavily charred. The filled barrels are then moved across the Cascade Mountains to rickhouses in Central Washington, where day-to-night temperature swings are dramatic. It won Best Straight Bourbon Whiskey and a Double Gold Medal at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The nose has crème brûlée, brown sugar and vanilla. The palate brings caramel, dark chocolate and mint, and the finish is medium-long with cinnamon, white pepper and toasted oak.
