Yamazaki Limited Edition 2022 is a single malt from Yamazaki, the distillery founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. The Limited Edition series began in 2014. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
This edition is a blend of whiskies aged in virgin Mizunara oak casks. It carries no age statement, though the whiskies in it are 12 years old or more.
The nose shows pineapple, orange and nutmeg. The palate is creamy and sweet, with honey, coconut cream and a little blueberry. The finish is smooth and lingering, with vanilla, ginger and a faint smokiness.
