Yellow Spot 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

Yellow Spot is a 12 year old single pot still Irish whiskey from Mitchell & Son, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its inspiration from the Yellow Spot whiskey of the 1950s. The mash combines malted and unmalted barley, and the whiskey is triple distilled in copper pot stills at Midleton Distillery in Cork. It matures in American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts and Spanish Malaga casks, and the Malaga wood adds an exotic, spicy note. Its character is described as juicy red apples.
